UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN: DR MEL O’CINNEIDE is a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Informatics. He has been Editor for two special issues of the Journal of Empirical Software Engineering on Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE), Chair of the Re-engineering and Refactoring track at QUATIC’2010 and Co-Chair at SSBSE’2011 and NasBase’2015. He has published over 40 papers in the areas of software quality and reuse, work which received best paper awards at ESEM 2012 and CSMR 2012.
UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE: DR DAVID BOWES is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire. During the last five years he has published widely in fault prediction. David was CI on the EPSRC project: “Using Program Slicing to Predict Size Code Change” with Steve Counsell and Tracy Hall. He is currently CI on the three year EPSRC grant exploring defect prediction models with Steve Counsell and Tracy Hall. David brings software engineering and machine learning expertise to the project.
UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE: DR MARC ROPER is a Reader in Computer Science at the University of Strathclyde. He has published extensively over the last 20+ years in the areas of testing, software inspections, bug localisation and fault prediction, with particular emphasis on empirically-based research. He was also PI on EPSRC grant (2004-2007) ”Detecting Design Flaws in Code”. Marc brings expertise in testing and empirical software analysis to the project.
